Wireless Telecom Construction
In 1996, Ard Contracting began constructing
wireless telecom sites when invited to bid
on work for the build-out of Sprint PCS’s
wireless network in Birmingham, AL. In 1998,
Ard committed to establishing a Wireless
Telecom Division, which has continued to
grow over the last decade. During this
period, Ard has completed projects for AT&T,
Cingular, Sprint-Nextel, Verizon, Southern
Linc, Alltel, T-Mobile, Crown Castle USA,
SBA, American Tower, General Dynamics, and
Bechtel, among others. These projects
include monopole towers, self-support
towers, guyed towers, co-locates, rooftops,
water tanks, flagpoles, simulated pine
trees, and church steeples. Ard Contracting
has completed telecom work in Alabama,
Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and
Louisiana.
