History

Ard Contracting, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Garry Ard as a contractor specializing in commercial and industrial concrete construction. Garry received his civil engineering degree from Auburn University in 1979 and spent the next ten years managing large civil and commercial projects for an international construction firm. Jimmy Ard, a 1981 Auburn University civil engineering graduate, joined the company as a partner in 1991 after six years in commercial construction. In 1998, the company started a wireless division to serve customers in the rapidly expanding wireless construction market. Ard Contracting operates from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.

Our Team

Our estimators, project managers, superintendents, and field personnel have the training and project experience necessary to ensure accurate estimates and deliver cost-effective, on-schedule projects. Members of Ard Contracting’s senior project management team have an average of almost 20 years experience in industrial and commercial construction. We have an intimate awareness of construction market conditions and the expertise to acquire specialty contractor services, building materials, and equipment. The Ard Contracting team coordinates all aspects of our work to provide a safe, efficiently run project with the earliest possible completion.
